Day with >> Estelle

Hello,

I wanted to show you my 2014 December Daily, made with Studio Tekturek new collection and the DD kit. You can find both of them in store now. The DD kit is really great and there is such a variety of items that I did not add anything but two letters for the cover, wood numbers and a piece of masking tape to complete my project.
Let's start, shall we?

I used project life cards to embellish the first page.

I stacked some of the kit items: golden doilies, craft fanion, wood veneers, eylets, a button and sequins.

First personnal trick: I only put every other day, that way your DD is much thiner and you wont get discouraged by the end of the month.

The Christmas tree is being decorated!

This embellishment was the perfect match for a reindeer.
Wood embellishement can be perfectly inked with regular black ink.

I  included the kraft pocket. It is fold in two and attached with masking tape.

Second personnal trick: my pictures are not necessarily chronological.
What matter the most is the memories.
I chose the pictures that fit the best the embellishements.

December is not over yet, so is my DD.
I am a little ahead so I can give you a preview of the future...

I can't wait to see your creations.
Don't hesitate to share your work by putting a link on the comments section.

Have fun and happy Holidays

Hi guys !!!
In Paris, there has not been any snow so far. So I had no choice but look into last year pictures
to find some material...
Here is a mini album that gather various material and technics.

The number 13 is covered with velvet powder to give it a velvety effect.

Inside cover is covered with a piece of Priplack, some kind of thick vellum, on which snowflakes are printed.

I worked the background with liquid ink and then gesso whith a stencil.

Close up on the clustering : masking tape, cut files, badges, sewing tread and wood veneers

I cut a snowflake shape in vellum and glued star shaped sequins

The word « photo » is inked in purple then covered with crystal effect to add volume and shine

Two kinds of paper clips and big brad

I layed an eyelet over a snowkflake shaped cut off.

The snowflake has been covered with pink powder and then heated

I re-used a Project life card

I inked the snowflake in purple and covered it with glossy accent

I made by myself a evergreen stencil. The leftovers (evergreens) have been painted in white and purple on their edges. They are glued on foam to add some volume.

The last page is also covered with Priplack on wich embellishements are glued.

The thick vellum is glued with glue dot

The cut off have been found on copyright free picture libraries

Day with >> Els

Hi, Els here today. We were about half way through December by the time I decided to start a December Daily album. I have to admit that receiving the beautiful Peachy Christmas papers pulled me in. Today I’d like to share the first part of my album with you. For the title page I used the negative from the deer die-cut I used for the cover. I backed it up with that beautiful red pattern and added some gold glitter Thickers.

For my first double spread, I used an enlargement of a picture of our Christmas tree on the left, and then the day by day documenting starts. The die-cuts sheet of the Peachy Christmas collection with the filler cards came in very handy.

Along with the day 6 filler card, I used a strip of red arrows I trimmed off from one of the manufacturers strips. All of the papers of the Peachy Christmas collection have these arrows, I could not just throw them in the garbage.

Most of my spreads are kept really simple, so almost all attention goes to the pictures. For day 8, the day we put up the tree, I have a double spread.

I’m up to day 10 now in my album. I absolutely loved working with these papers for my DD album. I especially enjoy the pop of red I can add to my spreads, without going too bold.

I’m still working on the rest of this album and will surely share the rest of it on my blog in the near future. I hope you enjoyed this part so far.
