Day with >> Els

Hello there, fellow Studio Tekturek fans. I'm here to share a very fun, yet oh so easy layout with you today. I had this beautiful, big black and white picture of my daughter, that I just had to scrap. I totally love the backlight on this picture, it inspired me to go very white and simple.

I adhered my picture slightly over the right hand border of the white cardstock (trimmed off the excess), and then filled in the rest of the width of this layout with that beautiful soft patterned paper from the One Way Ticket collection. The cloudy effect on it is just stunning, and it's working magic for the atmosphere of this layout.

Where my picture and patterned paper meet, I started tucking in label stickers underneath the photo. They work as a subtle gradient of color behind my title. Both badges are also from Studio Tekturek, the blue one from the One Way Ticket collection, the one with the stars from the Peachy Christmas collection. After adhering everything down onto the page, I decided I wanted to add a bit more color to the background - not the best moment I know ;)

I pressed a blue distress ink pad onto an acrylic block and used a wet paint brush to apply some of the color to my page. It gives a stunning watercolor look.

Thanks for stopping by!

Els.
